The Hill Chapel Baptist Church Scholarship is provided to individuals who plan to pursue a postsecondary education. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are active in the school, community and/or ministries in their church. All interested students should return a completed application in to Hill Chapel Baptist Church by December 18, 2019. The Georgia Pilot Foundation will award up to three $1,500 scholarships for outstanding community service to a graduating senior within the Georgia District. The Lynda Goodwin Volunteer Scholarship will be awarded to a senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA and who plans to attend an accredited college after high school. An essay will also be completed with the application on the student's volunteer experience. Applications can be picked up in the counseling office, and must be turned in by January 15 at 9:00 AM.

1. As a part of Georgia Apply to College Month, Georgia Southern University is offering No Fee November until the end of the month.

During November, students can apply to our 80 undergraduate degree programs without the $30 application fee. Please encourage your students to submit their applications for free at GeorgiaSouthern.edu/apply. And, if they are still learning about Georgia Southern, we encourage them to explore our Virtual Campus Experience to get to know our students.

2. The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship is now available at jackierobinson.org. The JRF application is the vehicle through which more than 4,000 talented minority high school students become JRF Scholars. The deadline to submit the application is February 1 by 5:00 PM.   To be eligible, the student must be a minority senior that is planning on attending a four-year college. The applicant must also have a 1,000 combined SAT score on the math and critical reading sections, or a composite score of 21 on the ACT.


3. The Life Reimagined Scholarships are focused on three deeply important causes - supporting first -generation students, empowering women in technology, and increasing mental health awareness.  Please visit  https://calvinrosser.com/scholarships/  for complete details. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2019.  


4. A scholarship essay contest entitled "Create a Distracted Driving Family Plan" is being offered by the Parnell Law Office in Albuquerque, NM. Please visit https://www.hurtcallbert.com/scholarships/ for details. The deadline to complete the essay is March 17, 2020. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 will be offered. 



5. Two, $1,000 scholarships will be given to students by the agency Dreams To Kings and Queens. One boy and one girl will be chosen as scholarship recipients. Below are the eligibility requirements and the application process for this scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be college-bound high school senior.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Be accepted to and prepared to attend an accredited university, college, or technical school.
Application Process:
  • Submit High School Transcript and College Acceptance Letter
  • Submit 2 page essay answering the following question: If you had the opportunity to change your community in a positive way, what specific changes would you make?

6.  Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy is offering Bulldog Pharmacy Camp the week of June 21 to 26, 2020 for high school students that are interested in investigating a career as a pharmacist.  We would like to invite your students to participate in Bulldog Pharmacy Camp.  During the week of pharmacy camp they will experience hands-on learning about health careers in pharmacy, participate in tours of local health care facilities and local pharmacies, participate in compounding activities and hands on demonstrations in the College of Health Sciences Learning and Simulation Laboratories. Students who attend the camp will have the unique opportunity to spend time on the Samford campus and experience campus life with us, spend time with pharmacy professors, and have a lot of time to interact with other students also interested in careers in pharmacy. 


The camp is open to rising high school juniors, seniors and entering college freshmen.  Selection for the camp is based on high school academic performance and their interest in the professions of pharmacy.   Enclosed is a flyer that will provide your students with important information regarding this exciting opportunity. Please post this flyer on your bulletin board of opportunities for your students.
