Students ages 13-15 who have an interest in working with young children in the future may be interested in attending the Future Leaders Summer Youth Camp at UGA. The Marine Corps League of Athens announces the availability of a scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Applications can be picked up in the counseling office and must be postmarked by April 15, 2018.

Alpha Iota Delta of Chi Psi Fraternity is proud to announce the Bryan Scholarship to the Georgia Institute of Technology. One scholarship of $1,000 will be offered to a qualified male student entering Georgia Tech in the fall of 2018. Applications may be picked up in the counseling office and must be postmarked by April 30, 2018.

Four, $2,500 Novelis STEM scholarships will be awarded to senior female students who are pursuing a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related undergraduate degree in college. An application can be picked up in the counseling office, or can be obtained electronically by emailing Charity Burnette at charity.burnette@novelis.com . Applications are due March 30, 2018

The American Legion Boys State and American Legion Auxiliary Girls State are programs that teach students how government works, while developing leadership skills and an appreciation of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. In this summer program, you can run for office, learn public speaking, and draft/debate legislation. Students must be finishing their junior year to apply. The cost for the student will be paid for by Post #20 American Legion. Any Robins Federal Credit Union member who will graduate in 2018, and will be attending a college in Georgia, is eligible to apply for the Robins Federal Credit Union scholarship. Applications may be picked up in the counseling office, and are due by noon on Friday, March 23 to the main branch location in Warner Robins, GA. Abbey Hospice is proud to announce the 11th annual camping experience for children and youth who have lost a loved one. Camp Journey is a grief camp for children ages 7-17.It is held at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA. The dates are April 28 - 29 and it is free to attend. High school juniors who are interested in attending Presbyterian College may be interested in being nominated for the Presbyterian College Fellows Award. Juniors must be in the top ten percent of the class, a SAT score of 1100 or higher (or PSAT of 1100 or higher). Presbyterian Fellows who end up attending Presbyterian College can receive various scholarships to the school. The deadline to be nominated is March 31. You may see Mr. Guthas in the counseling office to be nominated.

Piedmont Athens Regional's Volunteer Services Department is now accepting inquiries for the summer Teen Volunteer Program. Students who are ages 15-17 (by June 1), hold a GPA of a B or higher, and maintain high standards of behavior are invited to apply. Applicants should also have a sincere interest in helping others.  Students typically volunteer in Outpatient Surgery, Registration, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Edoscopy, Volunteer Services, and the Gift Shop. Senior scholarships are being awarded by the Georgia Development Authority to students who are pursuing an education in AGRICULTURE. The Gene Higginbotham Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2016 honoring Gene Higginbotham, who dedicated 50 years to the Pest Management Industry. American Pest Control was founded by Mr. Higginbotham in 1971. His children now want to continue the mission that their father began by serving the community with honesty, integrity and professionalism. 

Applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and a combined SAT score of 900 (ACT of 17). All required documentation must be emailed to marissac@ampest.com no later than Friday, March 16th

The Cavalier's Club of Athens will award a $500 cash scholarship to a graduating high school student. The applicant will be judged on academic achievement, community service, school involvement, and letters of recommendation.
