The Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites prospective students and their families to attend a presentation about Washington University. It will be held Sunday, March 26 at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead. No reservation is needed. 

Great Clips, Inc., is sponsoring the Great Scholarship Program. This is in memory of Alice Madden Barton. The scholarships range in value and are for students who are interested in pursuing a cosmetology career and current cosmetology students. The Hill Chapel Baptist Church family seeks to reward a deserving senior with $500. This is based on academic achievement, civic involvement and religious involvement. Anyone can access the application by visiting www.hillchapelathens.org . The application in its entirety must be turned in to the church by March 1.

The Education Foundation and Women in Business of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce that a $500 Diamond Award scholarship will be offered to one female graduate who has exhibited the ability to succeed  given less than ideal circumstances. Applications may be picked up in the counseling office and the deadline to apply is March 31. The application and all supporting materials must be mailed to or dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce office. The student must be pursuing post-secondary education in the summer or fall of 2017.

Applications will be accepted up until March 31. Interested students should mail the application and supporting materials to the Chamber. The student must be pursuing post-secondary education in summer or fall of 2017. 

One of the goals of The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is to support the youth in our community who desire to continue their studies in the arts

The Classic Center Cultural Foundation will be offering three separate $2,000 scholarships.  There will be one awarded for vocal performance, one for musical instrument and one for performance art: drama/dance.   Any high school Junior or Senior from Clarke County or surrounding counties is eligible (Barrow, Jackson, Madison, Oconee and Oglethorpe).  A panel of local judges will be been chosen to make the final decision for the scholarship award. Please share this information with your students.  If you need additional applications, please call us and we will mail them to you or you can download them from our website at www.ClassicCenter.com.

To apply, the applicant should fill out the attached form and submit it to The Classic Center Cultural Foundation by March 3, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.  This is a firm deadline and applications will not be accepted after that point.  An audition will be required; it will be held on April 24, 2017, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on The Classic Center Theatre stage.

For twenty nine years, the Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association essay contest has exposed thousands of high school seniors and their families to the life safety and property protection attributes of fire sprinklers.

The Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association awards scholarships annually in the amount of $1500$1000, and $750 to high school seniors through an essay writing contest.

The Marine Corps League of Athens, GA announces the availability of a scholarship for the continuing education of a senior graduating from a high school in any of the following counties: Clarke, Oconee, Madison, Oglethorpe, Barrow, and Jackson.

The award, in the amount of $1,000.00, can be used to defray the costs of tuition, books, supplies at accredited public or private institutions of higher learning or technical schools recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or both.

Application forms may be obtained from the Student Counselor’s office. The form and supporting documents must be submitted with a postmark dated no later than April 15, 2016. The successful candidate will be announced by May 30, 2016.

Piedmont Athens Regional's Volunteer Services Department is now accepting inquiries regarding the Teen Volunteer Program for summer 2017. Teens who are ages 15-17 by June 1, hold a GPA of B or higher, maintain high standards of behavior and are sincerely interested in helping others will be considered.  Interested students may call Lynda Jones, Volunteer Services Manager, at (706) 475-3405 to request an application packet. The application deadline is March 3 at 5:00 PM. Some of the places in the hospital you may volunteer include the information desk, nursing units, outpatient surgery, registration, rehabilitation, and endoscopy.
