College Goal Sunday (Financial Aid) is this Sunday









 
When is This Event?

Date: February 28, 2010

 Time: 2PM

Room 148, Miller Learning Center

 

 The Office of Student Financial Aid at the University of Georgia will be hosting a College Goal Sunday event February 28. The goal of this event is to assist high school seniors and college students in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

All graduate and undergraduate students must complete the FAFSA process after January 1 of each year in order to receive consideration for federal aid (including grants, work study and student loans) for the upcoming academic year.

What You Should Bring With You to This Event:

 Your Social Security Number

  • Your driver’s license (if any)

  • Your 2009 W-2 Form and other records of money earned

  • You (and your spouse’s, if you are married) 2009 Federal Income Tax Return

  • Your parent’s 2009 Federal Income Tax Return (if you are a dependent student as defined by federal criteria)

  • Your current bank statements

  • Your current business and investment information, such as business and farm records, stock, bond and other investment records

  • Your documentation that states you are a U.S. permanent resident or other eligible non-citizen


 Who can attend this event?

High school seniors who are applying to college and current college students who need assistance filling out the FAFSA. Both UGA and non-UGA students are welcome to attend this event!

Parking

Parking at the Tate Student Center is free on Sundays. The Tate Student Center is located next to the Zell B. Miller Learning Center. For driving directions, please visit http://mlc.uga.edu/directions/driving.html
