These areas include Anthropology, Criminal Justice, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Social Work, and Sociology.  A minimum of a 3.3 GPA is preferred. Applications can be picked up in the Guidance office and are due to Gainesville State by Friday, March 19, 2010.

Jan Hester Scholarship - The Community Bankers Association of GA is sponsoring at least four $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school graduates seeking to enter a Georgia university, college or technical institute in the fall of 2010. This is based solely on merit.  In addition, Oconee State Bank will award a separate $250.00 scholarship to the individual applicant selected to represent Oconee State Bank in the state competition.  The scholarship is a commemorative to Mr. Julian Hester and Ms. Jan Hester. In addition, the scholarship fund introduces and hopefully will promote a better understanding of the role played by the Community Banks in Georgia.  Applications may be picked up in the guidance office and must be returned to Oconee State Bank by April 2, 2010
