The Fanning Institute of the University of Georgia is offering a statewide program for students in grades 9-12 who are interested in Latino culture and issues. Participants experience student life by staying on the UGA campus and develop leadership skills by implementing community service projects for their home communities. Grade 11 – Junior Scholar Programs
Wofford College proudly announces the 62nd annual Wofford Scholars Program. If you are a junior in the top 10% of the class and are interested in attending Wofford, please see Mr. Guthas in the guidance office. You must also have achieved a minimum score of 1250 (CR & Math) on the SAT or a 28 on the ACT. Qualified candidates are able to compete for Wofford College Scholarships upon admission.
OCHS can nominate up to four outstanding juniors for the Centre Fellows Scholarship Program. Juniors must be in the top 5% of the class and have a SAT critical reading and math score of 1250 or ACT composite score of 28. Centre Fellows receive a waiver for the admission application fee and if upon admittance, will receive a minimum scholarship of $13,000 per year for four years. Nominations must be received by May 1. Grade 12 – New Scholarships
The Georgia Development Authority is awarding scholarships in the amount of $1,500 to students who confirm they are majoring in the agriculture or related field. Consideration for the scholarship will be based "80%" on financial need. Applications can be picked up in the Guidance Office.
The Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals is offering scholarships to seniors whose parents are members of GASSP. Applications may be picked up in the guidance office. This year, GASSP expects to award $4,000 worth of scholarships. If you are a senior and your parent is a member of GASSP, please pick up an application in the Guidance Office.
