Senior students who are planning to pursue a post-secondary major in any field of agriculture (Animal Science, Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Landscape Design, Engineering, Horticulture, Family/Consumer Sciences) may apply for the Larry Risse Scholarship. This is given in by the Clarke-Oconee Cattlemen's Association. Applications may be picked up in the counseling office and must be turned in to the Oconee Extension Office by April 25.
Graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue post secondary education at a technical school are invited to apply for the Horatio Alger Association Career and Technical Scholarship Program.
This program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need. Up to 1,020 scholarships with a maximum worth of $2,500 will be awarded. The deadline to apply is June 15. Please apply at application.horatioalger.org .
