Walton Electric Membership Corporation is pleased to offer an OCHS student a scholarship opportunity. In 1987, Georgia EMC established a scholarship fund in honor of Walter Harrison. Harrison, called "Mr. Rural Electrification" in Georgia, was nationally known for his lifetime efforts to make electricity available to every home and farm in Georgia.  Eleven scholarships total in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded for 2019. The Summer Language Institutes at UNG are carefully tailored language programs of study in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Russian.  By successfully completing this 6-week summer session, SLI participants earn 8 academic credit hours to fulfill the 1001-1002 foreign language required for most bachelor’s degrees at UNG.  Who is eligible?
Students must be in good academic standing, and accepted to, or enrolled at, the University of North Georgia at the time of application.
