The Gene Higginbotham Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2016 honoring Gene Higginbotham, who dedicated 50 years to the Pest Management Industry. American Pest Control was founded by Mr. Higginbotham in 1971. His children now want to continue the mission that their father began by serving the community with honesty, integrity and professionalism. 

Applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and a combined SAT score of 900 (ACT of 17). All required documentation must be emailed to marissac@ampest.com no later than Friday, March 16th

The Cavalier's Club of Athens will award a $500 cash scholarship to a graduating high school student. The applicant will be judged on academic achievement, community service, school involvement, and letters of recommendation.

Please complete the application by March 1. Mail the completed applications/supporting documents to:

Criteria:

1. High school senior with a 3.0 GPA
2. Letter of acceptance to a post-secondary school (college or technical college).
3. Three letters of recommendation (one from a teacher).
4. Official transcript included with the application.
