1. Minimum 1410 SAT combined math and critical reading score, or ACT composite score of at least 30.
2. GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Stellar visual arts, performing arts, or writing capabilities.
4. Honors and awards from competitions, or other recognitions.
5. Leadership skills demonstrated through co-curricular or extracurricular involvement.
To be considered, a nominee must complete all SCAD admission requirements, including transcript and portfolio submissions by February 1.Students should apply online at scad.edu/apply. The Georgia District Civitan Foundation invites Seniors to apply for the following scholarships:
Alice Dodd Scholarship for Outstanding Community Service and the Bobby Dodd Scholarship for Outstanding Community Service (Awarded to a physically challenged student).
The first place recipient for each scholarship receives a $1,200 award. In addition, a second place award of $800 will be presented. The applicant's community service involvement will be the main factor in determining the recipient. Applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office and must be postmarked by January 31, 2018.
Three letters of recommendation and a 500 word essay must be included as well.
