Air Force Academy and Air Force ROTC - Each spring, the sponsor a “USAFA and ROTC Scholarship and Career Planning Seminar” sponsored by the Georgia Air Force Admissions Liaison Officers.
This seminar takes place at Georgia Tech and targets high school freshman, sophomores, and junior students interested in attending the Air Force Academy or seeking ROTC scholarship opportunities. Attendees will be provided with all the information necessary to compete for scholarships, and hear first hand accounts from Air Force Academy and ROTC Cadets. This is a great forum for students, parents, and counselors to learn more about the great scholarship opportunities available through the Air Force.
This year’s seminar will take place Sunday March 27st, 2011 from 2-3:30pm at the Georgia Tech Air Force ROTC Detachment 165. Questions can be directed to Major Will Trinquero USAFR/ALO Trinquero@bellsouth.net
New Scholarships
Georgia Electronic Life Safety & Systems Association - Senior students who have a father, mother or natural guardian who is a full-time paid member of the police or sheriff's department or fire department may be interested in applying for the Georgia Electronic Life Safety & Systems Association scholarship. Children of administrative staff do not qualify. Each student must complete a fully completed and signed application with a postmark date of April 15 to be considered. Applications can be picked up in the guidance office.
QuestBridge's College Prep Scholarship provides awards that equip high-achieving low-income students to compete for admission to leading colleges. Full scholarships to college summer programs at Emory, Harvard, Stanford, Notre Dame, Penn or Yale are awarded. If you are a junior who has a strong academic record and an annual household income of less than $60,000, we encourage to apply. Apply online for free at www.questbridge.org . The application deadline is March 29, 2011.
