Attention students and parents. Colleges and Universities from across the county are coming to Athens for the annual PROBE College Fair. Meet with representatives from over 90 Colleges and Universities. The President's Scholarship Competition at Georgia College and State University will be held on December 6, 2013. The PSC awards scholarships to incoming first-year students with superior academic accomplishments. Students must have a minimum SAT score of 1250 (critical reading and math) or an ACT Composite Score of 28. The minimum academic GPA must be a 3.5. The competition includes a personal interview with GA College faculty members and a class discussion with faculty and students. A tour of the campus will be given as well. Top 10th, 11th and 12th grade students of OCHS can be nominated to attend the Careers in National Security: Diplomacy, Intelligence & Defense, a National Youth Leadership Forum to be held in Washington, D.C. this spring. During six days of stimulating, hands-on experiences, students will learn about national security careers while enhancing communication, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
