The President's Scholarship Competition at Georgia College and State University will be held on December 6, 2013. The PSC awards scholarships to incoming first-year students with superior academic accomplishments. Students must have a minimum SAT score of 1250 (critical reading and math) or an ACT Composite Score of 28. The minimum academic GPA must be a 3.5. The competition includes a personal interview with GA College faculty members and a class discussion with faculty and students. A tour of the campus will be given as well. Top 10th, 11th and 12th grade students of OCHS can be nominated to attend the Careers in National Security: Diplomacy, Intelligence & Defense, a National Youth Leadership Forum to be held in Washington, D.C. this spring. During six days of stimulating, hands-on experiences, students will learn about national security careers while enhancing communication, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
